Photo of the Week – 5/15/22
May 15, 2022
An alert mare keeps an eye on her snoozing foal. Piceance-East Douglas HMA, Colorado

And…a video of some of the horses from Piceance and some of the wildlife that shares this vast area.
Our trail cams were set up as a way to help identify horses. Angles and heights are set to help determine gender and any markings (sometimes other animals have their own ideas about positioning). The videos are made up of clips taken in all different years (beginning in 2016 through present) and all seasons. The date/time/temp information can be found at the bottom of each clip. Sharing all the horses/wildlife, conditions, etc., past and present.

“Don’t Take My Home”
December 25, 2009
Many thanks to my friend Mary Ann Kennedy for allowing me to use her powerfully moving music (www.MaryAnnKennedy.com). Please feel free to share…
From a fellow advocate: “Please send a note to the President through this easy link (posted below) and ask that the Calico (Nevada) wild horse roundup be stopped. This huge last stronghold of nearly 3,000 of America’s wild horses will be taken from us in the worst possible conditions starting Monday…..(Dec 28). It takes just a minute. This national icon and symbol of freedom needs a miracle…we have Saturday and Sunday. PLEASE pass it on.”
“Our Wild Horses II” Video Clip – Foals
October 11, 2009
I hope you enjoy this short video clip from my second DVD entitled, “Our Wild Horses II” available from my website at: www.NickolesPhotography.com
The foals pictured are from the Pryor Mountains and the McCullough Peaks herd areas. This video clip is not representative of the quality of the actual DVD. As always, my DVDs are made in support of efforts to preserve our magnificent living legends.
