Frolicking Filly
July 5, 2019
Is there anything that can bring a smile like a youngster with a “wild hair?” This little filly felt the urge and I was lucky to be standing by watching…with a camera. 🙂 (Piceance-East Douglas HMA, CO., June, 2019)

Piceance Bachelor Boys
April 6, 2019
I try very hard not to sneak up on horses, but these two bachelor boys were so intent on eating, that they barely noticed my approach. When they did, they were a bit startled and briefly bolted.
Look at the flexion in his body as he scrambles away.
They didn’t go far and since I didn’t make a move to close the distance between us, they became more curious about me.
I love the frosting in his mane.
It was nice to spend some time with these two and I left while they were still relatively comfortable with me.
Another sweet encounter with the wild ones. 🙂
