This Piceance-East Douglas bachelor stallion was all over the place the day we were visiting. He was desperately trying to win a family and his attitude and scars reflect his efforts. Last time I saw him, he was still a bachelor. Maybe next year buddy.

Quick Winter Visit

Tom and I made a very quick, 1/2 day visit to Piceance in early March. There wasn’t much snow, but the roads were still very wet and muddy. We were unable to venture into many areas, so consequently, saw few horses. But, we were treated to these and they all looked to be in good condition. Always a welcome sight coming out of winter.
