Something a little different – these are wild horses from the Jicarilla Wild Horse Territory on the Carson National Forest in New Mexico. It was a fun couple of days with these wild ones. It’s always interesting to explore other wild horse habitats. Someday, we hope to go back. (6/2015)

That is a beautiful area! I have driven through it and thought it would be wonderful wild horse territory. Alas, we did not see any wild horses….lots of fenced land for cattle though.

That’s a beautiful flaxen-maned sorrel. It looks pony size, too.
I had a beautiful pony mustang like that from the Green Mountain HMA outside Lander WY.
