Photo of the Week – 5/14/21

May 14, 2021

Something a little different – these are wild horses from the Jicarilla Wild Horse Territory on the Carson National Forest in New Mexico. It was a fun couple of days with these wild ones. It’s always interesting to explore other wild horse habitats. Someday, we hope to go back. (6/2015)

That is a beautiful area! I have driven through it and thought it would be wonderful wild horse territory. Alas, we did not see any wild horses….lots of fenced land for cattle though.

That’s a beautiful flaxen-maned sorrel. It looks pony size, too.
I had a beautiful pony mustang like that from the Green Mountain HMA outside Lander WY.

Very handsome looking group of horses. Hope they stay safe and free.

Look at that grass! The horses look fantastic!
