There are so many bay colored horses in the Piceance-East Douglas HMA, but I’m pretty sure this is the handsome stallion Axl. I’d been watching him play spar with his buddy Slash when he stopped and posed for this portrait. I was happy to take advantage of the opportunity. 😉
