Stallion “Slash”

May 12, 2018

Last time I saw Slash, he was a bachelor stallion. It’s been a while since I’ve seen him and I wonder if he’s still around or if he’s got a family now. He has a beautiful, wavy mane and forelock that makes him more easily identifiable amongst all the dark colored horses in Piceance. I hope that I’ll find him again someday and see that he’s doing just fine. (Another photo of Slash: https://nickolesphotography.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/waves/)

Thanks Linda – he’s a looker. Hope he’s still around.

Beautiful stallion. Is there a chance he was rounded up?

  4. pnickoles Says:

Hi Chris – there is always the possibility he was rounded up, but I’m hoping I’m just not in the same area as he is and that we’ll meet again at some point. The HMA is 190,130 acres, so, as you can see, that’s a lot of country! 🙂
