Photo(s) Of The Week – 10/13/16

October 14, 2016

This gray bachelor stallion approached as I was photographing a large group of horses near Cathedral Bluffs in the Piceance-East Douglas HMA. He and his buddy put on quite a show while I was there. Running back and forth, snorting and playing. I watched them for about 40 minutes before rain chased us out of the area (those slick clay roads!). Such a privilege when they just carry on as normal while I observe. (10/2016, Colorado).

Yes, we’ve had such bad news regarding wild horses, but some good too. Always enjoy your pictures; they are uplifting.

Thank you Chris – that’s really my goal with the stories and pics. I know there’s a lot of stuff to worry about regarding our wild ones, but it’s important to try to stay positive, even though that’s not always easy.

Easy is cheap – never give up
