A lazy afternoon gathered around a dead tree. The family members don’t notice me, but the band stallion is keenly aware of my presence and keeps a wary eye on me. Piceance Creek/East Douglas HMA, Colorado.

As little “shade” that tree provides – the BLM should take note of this picture! Certainly shows these WILD animals will take advantage of any kind of shade or shelter.

They are beautiful .they are Wild , they are free, i wish they could always do whatever they want, and if I can do anything to ensure that safety and Freedom I am there !!!!!!

I agree not much shade under that tree but some is better than none. Bet it’s a hot spot when there are leaves on it.
