Photo Of The Week – 2/20/14

February 21, 2014

DSC_1879a-sThis is such a pretty mare – she was with a stallion that had very similar coloring. It was just the two of them and they let me observe for quite a while. Such a privilege. (Piceance Creek/East Douglas HMA, Colorado).

Just gorgeous – beautiful “chiseled” head and great expression. Pam, I think beauty in wild horses is relative to their environment and ALL horses are truly beautiful in the wild, but the Piceance-East Douglas wild horses have a conformationally classic look.
