Goodbye Pretty Kira

Sharing some photos in honor of the pretty mare Kira from Sand Wash Basin HMA (Colorado) who took the journey over Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Freedom is yours forever now girl.

    A smile with tears , not because she is Gone , But because she was !!! RIP Pretty Kira !!!! I have to ask was her death BLM related?????

    Hi Arlene – no, I was told it looked like she just collapsed. She was an older mare. Aged at appx 18 years old.

    Lovely pictures of this beautiful mare who was privileged to live her life in freedom. I assume she will continue through her lovely offspring? We have to keep the helicopters out of Sand Wash next year!!!


  19. Beautiful photos of Kira, Destiny, Stomper (Destiny’s older brother) and Viggo (The Bay bandstallion she was with). Thankyou for the wonderful tribute. We will miss this mare very much.
