“Wild Horses – Wild Lands” Exhibit

October 9, 2012

Please make plans to visit Estes Park’s Cultural Art Council’s special gallery exhibit “Wild Horses – Wild Lands” which opens with a public reception at the Cultural Art Council’s Fine Art Gallery on Friday, October 12th, 5:00 – 8pm. The gallery is located at 423 W. Elkhorn Ave in West Park Center, Estes Park, Colorado. (I have several pieces that will be on display along with many other artists). The exhibit will run through November 11th. To kick things off, on Thursday, Oct 11th there will be a special presentation, “An Evening with Cloud & the Wild Horses” with Ginger Kathrens, Emmy Award-winning film-maker and Executive Director of The Cloud Foundation at the Estes Park Resort, 1701 Big Thompson Ave in Estes Park, 6:30 – 8pm.

Below is one of my images featured in the exhibit (special thanks to the folks at Grizzly Creek Framing for their incredible framing talents for this event).

“Evening Glow” – a beautiful Piceance Creek/East Douglas HMA wild mare.

I hope you’ll get a chance to see the beautiful work from the many artists depicting our magnificent wild horses!

Isnt it amazing how these wild ones can look so spiffy?
I know there are many pictures of them looking kind of rough, but mainly they look as if they had been groomed!! (which maybe they have – by each other)
Would really love to go to this exhibit & hear Ginger speak.
A little far to travel tho.

  4. Wish I lived closer, sorry to miss this. Best of luck to you! I know it will be wonderful!!
