McCullough Peaks Stallions – 9/11
September 24, 2011
The first afternoon of our vacation was spent at the McCullough Peaks HMA just outside of Cody, WY. Shortly after our arrival, we spotted these two bachelor stallions.

And as quickly as it started, the sparring is over and the pinto is off to seek out trouble/fun elsewhere.
A great start to our week of vacation! Many more photos and stories to follow…

Pam,
Are you planning on coming to southern WY to photograph any of the horses in this area? We have been watching them on Green Mountain and in the Salt Wells quite a bit- they are numerous in those areas….
Love your photos!

Hi Christi – I have photographed horses in both those areas several times over the years. If you enter either “Green Mountain” or “Salt Wells” in the Search box on my Blog, there are several stories/photos from each location. 🙂 Thanks for your comments and kind words!

Such fun! And no worries about the boss, getting up on time. Can play when you want.
That’s the life I wish they all had.
Maybe that’s why BLM hates them so much. Their jealous!

WOW…great series. They were doing the same thing at SWB last time we were there, but “the fight” never really got off the ground….maybe we got there too early for the horses. 🙂

Again, you have transported me with you on your vacation, these pieces are beautiful, and I know that I was there with you when they were taken as you make sure that we all see what you have seen.
Thank you
See working on the other matter. HUGS
