Photo Of The Week – 6/9/10

June 9, 2010

A trio of trouble. Young stud colts from Wild Horse Mesa (CO) all wanted a piece of one branch. These guys were great fun to watch as they picked on each other and played little wild horse games.

Sweet image! All foals are fun to watch interacting with each other, in the wild or in the pens. There are over 300 foals in BLM’s pens @ Broken Arrow. I love seeing them, but its heartbreaking to see them having to lay in manure and not know the wild world they so deserve. Thanks for sharing this photo!

Thanks Cat – yes, that would be heartbreaking to see the youngsters living that way. Your photos tell their tragic story – it must be so very hard to witness first hand.

Oh this is just so adorable, playtime…like kids playing with a cardboard box, just like the simplest things in life are BEST..like Nature and Wild Horses..Simplicity that puts a SMILE ON OUR FACES..Beautiful photography Pam, as alway’s…capturing the moment, thanks<3

Thank you again Pam for a great image.
I think that everytime I see the pictures from Indian Lakes. All those horses deserve so much more than what they’ve been given.

Pam thank you for sharing your experience.

It is heartbreaking to imagine what is going to happen in a few short weeks… starting Owyhee July 1… to all the wild babies.

We just need to keep going.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

Great picture, Pam! Well put “Trio of Trouble!” I imagine it was great fun watching these guys! I feel so sad for the Calico babies that they will never get to experience this life. Very sad indeed.

  8. They are so beautifully sweet and geourgous. Thankyou for your great photography and sharing it with us all.

  9. Gee, can you tell who the “Dad” was in this group. What consistent coloration. Great pic Pam.
