Photo Of The Week – 5/26/10

May 26, 2010

An Adobe Town (Wyoming) bachelor stallion. When this horse finally turned to face me, I noticed he had a turned down ear on the right side – which didn’t take away from him at all. He was still a handsome guy. Unfortunately, I’ve never seen this horse out there again. I have to hope he’s still enjoying his freedom.

WE just drove through Adobe Town last Sunday for the first time. What a beautiful place – very cool. Lot’s of land – I can’t believe they plan to roundup those horses. How many do you think are there Pam ?

  3. Magnificent beautiful creature – what will we do when your kind are no more?

  4. Puller Lanigan Says:

He reminds me of the Irish cart horses.

  5. TJ Says:

That was my first thought, too, that he looked like a Connemara … Very handsome!

  6. Deby Zimmerman Says:

Oh my gosh, Pam….He is absolutely fantastic looking!!!

Thank you Kelly – I really so appreciate your enthusiasm for the photos and horses. 🙂

Lyn – I’m so glad you were able to get out to Adobe Town. It’s a HUGE area. I have no idea how many horses are out there. Sure seems a shame to remove any when they can be so hard to find. How many did you see?

Brenda – we just can’t let that happen.

Puller and TJ – the wild ones can look like so many different kinds of horses can’t they? Yet, they’re such individuals. It seems impossible, but to this day (and many thousands, upon thousands of images later), I know where almost every horse I’ve photographed is from and generally something about them. They all make an impression on me. Amazing.

    Deby – he’s striking for sure. 🙂

  8. Suzanne Says:

He is a knockout! I would love to see him in person. Let’s hope some of his get look like him!

  9. Laura Houston Says:

What a beautiful boy! Out on his land wild and free.
