As some of you know, for me personally, one of the positive outcomes from the situation at 3-Strikes Ranch was being introduced to the Blake family (Michael Blake, Academy Award winning author and screenplay writer of “Dances With Wolves” now cares for my 2 wild horses – see link at bottom for this story). Both Michael and Marianne Blake are very generous people and I’m proud to have a very small part in the introduction of their new and outstanding opportunity. Marianne owns a publishing company and has developed the project detailed below to help support various charities and rescue groups. I’m certain it will benefit many people and animals alike. It’s an awesome and very commendable mission – giving back.
The website address, with complete information is listed below:
From the website:
Throughout human history, charity has been recognized as a virtue and, regardless of political, religious or financial climates, countless people have dedicated their time and effort to provide relief and advocate for changes where needed.
Although the range of charity work and humanitarian efforts have been expanded considerably over time, the basics remain the same. Charity and humanitarian aid, whether directed toward humans, animals or the environment, benefit us all.
Hrymfaxe LLC is commited to aid a selected group of charity organizations in their efforts and will donate 25% of the retail prices of all titles by Michael Blake, purchased through Hrymfaxe LLC. The charity organizations are listed in a drop down menu next to each title in our online store. New organizations will be listed continously.
With the proceeds from the purchase of one of Mr. Blake’s books, the nutritional need of 1 child from the Rubaga Community School in Kampala, Uganda, can be met for more than 25 days. Or close to a bale of hay can be bought and fed to a horse in need.
It does not take much, but it does make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
